Spicy Hummus

Adding fresh basil to hummus was a great kick and the chilly oil was the cherry on the cake.

Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
- 2 cloves garlic
- bunch of fresh basil
- bunch of fresh parsley
- 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- 2 heaped tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- chilly olive oil (optional)
Instructions
- Put garlic in food processor and roughly chop to small pieces
- Add chickpeas and rest of the ingredients except for some of the sesame seeds and the chilly olive oil
- Add more water for desired consistency if needed
- When ready serve, place in serving bowl and top with freshly toasted sesame seeds and chilly olive oil
Notes
- Enjoy with some raw crudities like carrots, cucumbers, mixed bell peppers
- To toast the sesame seeds just place them in a non stick pan and toast for a few minutes (no oil is needed)
