Spicy Hummus

Adding fresh basil to hummus was a great kick and the chilly oil was the cherry on the cake.

Ingredients
  1. 1 can chickpeas rinsed and drained
  2. 2 cloves garlic
  3. bunch of fresh basil
  4. bunch of fresh parsley
  5. 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  6. 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  7. 2 heaped tablespoons olive oil
  8. 2 tablespoons water
  9. chilly olive oil (optional)
Instructions
  1. Put garlic in food processor and roughly chop to small pieces
  2. Add chickpeas and rest of the ingredients except for some of the sesame seeds and the chilly olive oil
  3. Add more water for desired consistency if needed
  4. When ready serve, place in serving bowl and top with freshly toasted sesame seeds and chilly olive oil
Notes
  1. Enjoy with some raw crudities like carrots, cucumbers, mixed bell peppers
  2. To toast the sesame seeds just place them in a non stick pan and toast for a few minutes (no oil is needed)
