Kale has a very particular taste however pairing it with pineapple masks the kale taste really well. This smoothie is rich in vitamin C, vitamin k, magnese and minerals.
Many studies suggest that raw kale is more nutritious than cooked. Cooking it may reduce its content of nutrients, including antioxidants, vitamin C, and several minerals.
Kale & Pineapple smoothie
- 3 raw kale leaves
- 2 inches fresh pineapple
- 1 banana
- some manuka honey
- Moringa powder (or other superfood)
- 1 cup coconut milk
- Break the kale leaves using hands and remove the large stems.
- Chop the banana and pineapple.
- Add all the ingredients in a blender and liquidise until smooth. If you see that you need to add more liquid, add more nut milk.
- Enjoy immediately.
